Management of the Kindergarten

The Kindergarten is registered with an 'Authority to Fundraise' and is a non-profit making organisation.

Each parent / guardian automatically becomes a member of the Terrey Hills Community Kindergarten Incorporated when they enrol their child. Each parent / guardian pays $1 membership and this is payable with first fees invoiced.

THCK is managed by a Committee made up of parents/community members.

The role of the Management Committee is to provide the overall governance and management of the service. In your role as a Committee Member your contribution is vital, not only to the Kindergarten but also to the principles of community management and ownership.

The Management Committee are the governing body for the Kindergarten and work closely together with the Director and with Educators and staff in accordance with The Code of Ethics and the licensing standards set by Department of Education and Communities. The Committee, Educators and staff also abide by the National Regulations and National Law which frame the National Quality Standards.

The Management Committee Members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting which is in March.
